In the year 2054, Mickey Barnes, played by Robert Pattinson, offers himself up as a “expendable” for a colonization expedition to the planet Niflheim. This title entails that he is given the riskiest assignments and is cloned every time he dies. When his 17th clone survives an encounter with a “alien,” which his friends are unaware of, complications occur. When he returns to the spacecraft, he unexpectedly runs upon “Mickey 18” (played by Pattinson).
